The LamsonSharp Breakaway Kitchen Shears are made from hardened and tempered high-carbon stainless steel. The shears two blades come apart - breakaway - into two pieces for easy and complete cleaning. The handles' loops are large enough for thick fingers, and one blade has microscopic serrations to prevent slippage. They're balanced in the hand, and the blades curve inward so they meet in only one place at any given position, providing smooth, precise cutting action. Use for trimming herbs, cutting the stems off greenbeans, picking out the undesirable parts from organs, trimming the rind off bacon, opening sea urchins, cutting off a sprig of grapes, making paper frills and cutting parchment paper, or opening difficult packaging made of plastic or paper.
